I believe that science is a powerful story and the right storytellers can change lives.
I studied medicine at Oxford University and University College London. After junior doctor jobs at several London teaching hospitals, I started my research career with a PhD in Neuroendocrinology at Imperial College London. I am now a Consultant Endocrinologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a Senior Tutor and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.
My life as an author began in 2022 with the publication of 'The Full Diet', a book about weight management and metabolic health based on my specialist clinical practice, which on publication became a Sunday Times bestseller. My new book ‘Signals: The Inside Story of our Hormones’ will be published in June 2026.
The stories, trials and challenges they have faced to complete their journey and see life-changing results has been astounding. I want to share health solutions that are based on lived experience and evidence with as many people as possible.
Without reliable information about what actually works and why leaves too many people at the mercy of hacks, hashtags, tips and trends that only give the illusion of progress.
My purpose is to share my medical knowledge and experience to give people the agency to understand how they work and to steer their own health future.
